I have been procrastinating (and enjoying it!)

 

Tiny shifts in the things that we do can make all the difference these days...how are you talking to yourself?

Are you telling yourself about all the things you have got to do?  Are you putting yourself under more pressure than you need to?  There is so much stress in the world at the moment, it is important to love ourselves first.

These are the words I am using when I talk to myself...

 

I also remind myself that "I get to do things".   We are not allowed further than 2km from our homes at the moment, it is really easy to fall into the trap of thinking about all the places I would love to go with my dog and forget how lucky we are to go out at all.

Even though I am watching my language and my energy, I am still not doing some of the things I want to do.  Then I find it really easy to fall into a trap of telling myself off for not doing them.   The most important thing to remember is that we are all doing the best we can in any moment, particularly in such uncertain times.   When I take a break, I enjoy it.  I take the time to sit and read or watch tv and I try not to make a list in my head of all the more productive things I could be doing.  

I recorded the video above on procrastination...it helps when you tap to clear the energy of overthinking about something you want to do that you keep putting off.  Even with the one round of tapping, I got a much clearer sense of just getting on with my life.  It is really just to give you an example of how it works but you can certainly tap along with it.

There are two part to tapping on procrastination....first tap on the idea of procrastination and see what thoughts come to mind.  Secondly tap on a positive emotion or feeling that would help you get over the hump and start on whatever it is you are putting off.  I often tap on gratitude for this, particularly in relation to housework.  When I change my mindset and feel grateful for the beautiful home we live in, it is much easier to want to clean it!
